Historic center of Cracow, the former capital of Poland, is situated at the foot of the Royal Wawel Castle with the Gothic Cathedral where the kings of Poland were buried. The 13th-century merchants’ town has Europe’s largest market square and Sukiennice Cloth Hall. Numerous historical houses, palaces and churches with their magnificent interiors. Further evidence of the town’s fascinating history is provided by the remnants of the 14th-century fortifications and the medieval site of Kazimierz with its ancient synagogues in the southern part of town or the Jagiellonian University, one of the oldest universities in the world.

You can do many other things in this historical city, for example visit the Czartoryski Museum with paintings of Leonardo DaVinci or go to the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Culture. There are 11 big and several small, often situated in stone wall cellars, theaters in Cracow. When you are tired of sightseeing you can go to the Cellar under the Rams (Piwnica pod Baranami). Place which has affected on evolution of Cracow’s culture for years for sure allow you to feel Cracow’s atmosphere.
